Toddler Seat
Hi-
We are going this weekend to buy my 3 1/2 year old son a new booster seat for the car and wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations. One of my concerns is he is only 35 pounds and many of the booster seats start at 40. The doctor told me to try an keep him in his regular seat until he was 40 pounds but he getting too tall and his head is even with the top of the seat.
Thanks,
Chris

C.,
Both of my children weigh well below average for their ages, so I have done my research on the carseat issue. I recommend a seat by Britax. I have not looked lately, but I believe they have a seat that starts at 30 lbs. The Marathon model comes to mind. At any rate, I think you will find what you need by looking at Britax convertible seats rather than for a traditional booster seat. Good luck.

I found one that I think is awesome. It's a Compass. It is very easy to use. My daughter is very tiny and she fits into this one pretty good. It also folds. You can get it at Toys R Us, Babies R Us or www.onestepahead.com

Hi C.-
There are seats out there for 30lbs and up (backless booster). I found mine at Target. I found it while going through the Sunday Shopping Ads...I believe it's an Evenflo. I still would prefer getting the convertable seat that you can make backless when you feel it's the right time, but I haven't purchased one yet. The reason I say that is because there have been times where he has wiggled out of it....but thank goodness, it's been when we were in a parking lot.
Hope this helps!
