Seeking Bike Trailer Recommendation

I am looking to buy a bike trailer for my 16-month old son to sit in while my husband and I bike. Wondering if it's really worth it to buy a Burley. My son is tall for his age so I'm looking for seating that is spacious and has good support. Prefer a trailor that transitions to a stroller. Also would like a trailer that can switch in between bikes fairly easily and breaks down easy and fairly flat since we have little storage room in our car (if we take it on vacation, etc.) Will have a second kid at some point, but not sure when, but probably desire a double vs. single.

What can I do next?

I just purchased a double Chariot and absolutely love it. We bought it for $400 off Craigslist. They are over $600 new and buying all the necessary attachments add up BUT that being said they are well worth the investment. If you really plan on using it I would invest the money and buy the best b/c there is a HUGE difference between a cheap one and one that is comfortable for the kids and built well so it wont break or not work properly. I figure we will be using it for the next 4 years or so and the resale value on these strollers are excellent. Good luck.

I highly recommend the burley. I had twins and I biked and strolled/ran them everywhere in that thing. Don't know what I would have done without it. I had an older one that wasn't the greatest for converting but then I bought a new one and changing it from bike to stroller was great. It's so wonderful as a stroller too because the wheel swivels and it's really light. You can push it with one finger. And I liked the fact that you can close it up for rain.

I passed mine along to my cousin a couple years ago and it's still going strong. I would imagine they are even better now.
Best money I ever spent. Got it at REI with some dividends but you can get them at Bike Gallery too.

You'd better contact an inventor! :-). There's a bike maker in CO, www.lenzport.com

I bought an InStep with the resin wheels. It converts easily to a stroller, with a swivel front wheel. It is a double wide, with the double steering wheel. My kids used it a lot and it was only $150. I am not ready to get rid of it yet, as with the price of gas, and all 3 in school next fall, I will use it to go grocery shopping. Mine does not break down too easily, but it does break down. We have taken it on vacations and camping as well.
