Need Inexpensive Internet & Phone Service

I am about to have a baby anyday now. We are trying to cut our costs down so that I can stay home. We currently have At&t Broadband and home phone service costing aprox. $80.00 a month with no extras. (We primarily use our cell phones.) Does anyone know of cheap internet through a cell phone or inexpensive internet & land line phone service. $80.00 seems so high.

What can I do next?

I'm using a combined Time Warner cable, internet and
phone service for about $78 a month including taxes...
much better than what I was paying...

Don't go with VOIP (Internet phone service.) The service was not acceptable, they charge a disconnect fee if you want out, and make you pay an inflated fee for the router unless you return it in its original box with all original paperwork inside!

I have At&t land line and internet. I pay&32 dollars a month. Since we primarily use our cell phones; we do not have any extras (call awiting, caller id, voice mail, etc) on our land line. Then we have the basic dsl internet from them. I am a full time student and take most of my courses on line to halp jusggle motherhood and working and the internet service is awesome! Hope this helps.

My family has T-Mobile for our cell service. I just recently canceled my AT&T land line and have T-Mobile as my home number, too. (T-Mobile was able to retain my home phone number because we've had it for 22 years.) My T-Mobile home number is considered a hot spot, so I don't use plan minutes when I use my phone at home. It's $9.99 per month...

I was in the same situation about 6 months ago and I called at&t and was able to reduce the cost of my home phone (they have options as low as $5 a month that they don't really tell you about) and my bill is now about $60 a month. It's not much of a difference, but it's definitely better.
