Need Advice on a Good Dishwasher Soap
I have used Melaleuca for years and it is the bomb! But, I don't sell it anymore and cannot find someone to purchase it for me. Dishes were ALWAYS clean and shiny. So, I used the gel packs, but the door they go in sticks and although it opens, the soap stays in, and the plastic jams up my dishwasher. I've used gels, and they leave a horrible white film, I've used liquids, and they don't clean them like I want. I need help, I end up taking the dishes out of the dishwasher and washing them by hand. We have 5 people in my family and this is most inconvenient for us all. Thanks!

I am a member of Melaleuca, and yes, their dishwasher soap is the best - hands down! I am not just saying that. I am not actively selling it either right now, but I would be willing to get some next month and sell it to you along with anything else you might need. Just let me know!
Thanks!

I get good results using Electrosol with the Jet Dry ball. I have also used Glass Magic (which I can only find at Marsh supermarkets) and it is wonderful, especially if you have hard water!

I had the same problem,We moved to the country and I thought it was our water. I called a repair man from Maytag. He told me it all depends on the dishwasher you have. I have an older one and he recommended I try the powder Cascade. He told me that the liquid would clog my hose. He also cleaned out my drain. Now my dishes are clean. I also have 5 in our family hubby, daughter, and her two children + me.Hope this helps B. H, Indiana

Hi R.,
I am a 48 year old mom with twin 13 year old boys. I am an energy healer and very open to alternative and holistic ways. I find that is what separates me from most other moms in this area. I too want to use products that are safe for my family and the earth.
I can put you in touch with two women locally who sell Melaleuca if you want to call me for that info ###-###-####, but I make my own cleaning products for general house cleaning and use Second Generation liquids for laundry and the dish washer. Of course you can buy these types of products at Wild Oats or Meijers and Krogers with natural sections, but I get them at the Gaiam outlet sales for $3 a gallon for laundry soap. If I find the dishes getting a film on them in time, I use a few rounds of Cascade liquid until everythting sparkles and then go back to my "good stuff". It is too much info for an email, but if you want to call me, I can tell you where Gaiam outlet is. They are only open to the public 3-6 days a month, but their sales offer 50% - 80% discounts!
Good luck and thank you for being CONSCIOUS in your choices for the earth! We all need to be the change we want to see. L. Pieratt

I used Melaleuca for several years also and agree their dishwasher detergent is "the bomb". I stopped using Melaleuca when I found they were using preservatives in their products when I was told they didn't use any harmful ingredients. I was just curious why you stopped using their products? Good luck finding a replacement product.

I sell a cleaning line called SNAP that I love. All of our products are good for the environment and highly concentrated. The automatic dishwashing crystals really does a great job at eliminating water spots and it's safe for porcelain and china. If you want more information, just let me know. You can order right from my website. www.marketamerica.com/rebeccahill

I have used Melaleuca for over 18 months and would not switch for anything! Cannot understand if you prefer natural to chemicals and toxins why you would quit? All their products are natural and their vitamins are the best. All I can say is my Mom liked Cascade so you may try that, but doubt if you will be happy with anything other than their products. My daughter loves their dishwashing soap (I don't have a dw) Thanks - D.

Hello R.. My family is a Meleuca family and I know your feeling of trying to find something comparable. If you would like, I could purchase the product for you. Just an offer.

Lemu Shine is awesome! It can be purchased at Wal-Mart. It is located with the other dishwasher products. It is a "great seller", so if you don't see it on the shelf, then you may need to ask a clerk if they have some in "back stock". You put it in the compartment that you would put the dishwashing detergent and then you use powder in the open dish. And BTW, powder works the best as well. Good luck, you will be shocked at how clean and clear your glasses and dishes become.

I have used the Dawn gelpack...I assume that's what you are talking about. I've never had problems with them not working well. Also, I'd try vineagar in the rinse thing to keep them from spotting.
I'm also interested in your natual vs. chemical journey. I have just recently begun to go with organic foods, etc. as much as possible and I can't believe the difference. My daughter and I are also vegans. It's always interesting the people you meet on here!!
