Mother's Day Out Needed

I think you are in North Fort Worth, right?
I'm not sure if you consider this too far, but we love our preschool in N. Richland Hills. It is on Smithfield Road at the interesection of Smithfield and Chapman.
It is called Discovery School and they have a special Bridge class for children who are 5 but not enrolled in Kindergarten. I believe it is taught by a certified teacher (but I am not 100% sure on that).

They use a fabulous hands-on curriculum that teaches math science, reading reasiness, handwriting without tears, and more. Their teachers are kind and compassionate.

You should check out what churches are nearby and look at their websites. The majority of churches have preschool programs for ages 18 mo. to 5 years or some call it mothers day out. Most programs are 9-12 and some offer extended hours until 2:30. Also you usually have the option of how many days he will attend. One other thing to check out are the Montesorri schools in fort worth those last 8-5 M-F and again you have the option of 3 days instead of 5.

I believe First Baptist Keller has a pprogram for five year olds who are not quite ready for kindergarten. They are located on the corner of 1709 (Golden Triangle) and 377.

You mingh want to look for a more at a structured Pre-K program that meets a minimum of four days a week that offers a true experience that prepares him for school. The structure, curriculum, schedules, etc really help prepare emotionally, too.
If you call the child care resource and referral service for our area they can perform a search and provide you guidance on seeking out programs that meet your unique needs and they have a great special where you can get the top of the line search for only $10 (used to be $40). A worthy investment IMO:)

My oldest son went to pre-k at Kids' Place near the hospital district and my second will be going to the Camp Fire Child Development Center off i-35 and Meacham I would recommend both these programs!
