JFF - Who Does Most of the Cooking?

My husband does most of the cooking - I get our son bathed and in bed while he fixes us dinner. How does it work in your household? Do you cook and eat all together early dinners? Do you go out to eat as a family or get take out?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

So glad I am not the only one.. and happy to have hubby help.. was just wondering if this was normal, or if I needed to do it all..

thanks girls! (and guys)

If my guy did the cooking we would only eat two dishes, lol.
Stir fry rice and lasagna.
So I do most of the cooking. =)

I do all the cooking. We moved into a new house in August and for the first time since the move, last night my wife states "tonight I'll cook dinner". After about 5 minutes of me hearing cabinet doors open, close, open, close I went in to help her locate the basics. She had not prepared anything in the kitchen since we moved in. It was a great dinner as she is an AWESOME cook, just not any practice in the new house.
We do eat as a family when possible. And we rarely go out to eat as a family, we save that for date night.

I do the weekly cooking; hubby loves to barbecue so he generally cooks on the weekends.

As I say that I do the majority of cooking, I am smelling the cabbage rolls that my husband made last night and put in the crockpot for today.

My hubby would probably cook more, but he doesn't get home until 6:30 or 7:00 most nights, and I'm home at 4:30, so logic just says I should do it.

I should add that hubby gets our son in bed 99% of the time.

My husband does the cooking - he says it's self preservation, I'm a terrible cook. I do however, do all the baking.

And he works full time and I stay home - so yeah, I'm pretty lucky. I take care of feeding the kids, and take care of the house. He comes home and we eat together later.

I do the cooking, but my husband cleans up the dishes after the meal. We are both firm believers in eating as a family at the table, so every dinner is eaten together except the very rare occassions when my husband works late, in which case the kids and I eat together. We do go out to eat as a family about once a week, though with #3 on the way that may change!

My hubby! He also makes all of our lunches. He is a wonderful man :)

We always eat as a family - I have a 10 & 13 yr old. We go out once a week as a treat, but never to a place that we have to tip (not fast food though). Occasionally we get take out like pizza or chinese.

I do most of the cooking, but my husband helps out lots too. Usually, if my husband is making dinner, it is something that I have prepped or have given instructions of how to prepare. Lately, I have been feeding our 10.5 month old while my honey finishes up our dinner and than we sit at the table while our little one plays in his high chair with food or spoons.
