Gift for Newborn Twins

My twins LOVE the soft fuzzy blankets my sister made for them. AND I just made a set for my friends twins. They are so easy. Buy 4 different very soft materias about 2 yards of each. (front and back for each blanket)

Put two together, cut 6" or so strips all the way around, tie the front and back strips together and there you have it.

I also got a frame with a poem about twins in the center of it from my sister in law. that was my favorite gift. You can put a picture on each side and the poem is in the middle.

Hi, I have twin girls, and echo Christine. I got lots of diapers, cute clothes and blankets. I didn't have to buy diapers for four months and that was great, but I would have LOVED gift cards for restaurants or dinner from friends. Healthy snacks would have been great too. I was up several times a night feeding babies and ended up eating junk just to stay awake. At my 6 mo. appointment I only needed to loose 7 more pounds.
After months of night time feedings I had almost twenty pounds to loose! I don't know how you could do it being in another country, but food and healthy snacks would be awesome!

Well although I don't have twins I do have three kids. My favorite gift when I had my kids was dinner delivered or a gift certicate to a local place to eat.
Its overwhelming in the beginning when you return from the hospital you barely feel good and you have to take care of a baby and sometimes other children.
Then making dinner on top of everything else..its too much to handle.

Honestly my first thought was a cleaning service for a week, but that will likely cost more than $50. LOL I don't have twins but I remember feeling overwhelmed by taking care of the baby, the older child, while keeping the house clean and being caught up on laundry.
Can you create a photo book for her that all she would have to do is put the pictures in? That way your gift is a keep sake already completed and with her limited time she can just add photos.
Perhaps send her special memento boxes. Keepsake boxes already created and ready to go that house all those special things we end up keeping. As an example a special locket/container for the first hair cut, or special keepsake box for the first pair of shoes, special keepsake envelope for the hospital wrist band, incubator gender label etc. You get the idea.
All those things are special to mom, but with limited time she may not have the availability to create those special keep organizers.
