Ideas on how we can get rid of the giant ad for fabkids that won't let you answer questions from a tablet? I rarely am in my office, and this site is sooooo not mobile friendly.
If I sent in a complaint, do you think they'd listen?
I would have loved to have edited my subject line but I couldn't get to the "Edit" button due to the ad!
If there is an economic incentive for them to, they'll probably make a change.
For my part, I have pledged that I will not click on a single advertising link on this site until it can work with my iPad.
I hear ya, that ad is so annoying. Also the ones that pop up when i'm trying to ask a question and don't let me type in the subject line. I always have to refresh the page just to read or ask a question!
I miss when mamapedia didn't have any ads. I'll send a complaint too I am always using my phone or ipad to go on.
ETA: LovingLife that's funny that's exactly what I do, forgot to mention that!

Here's what you do. Write a PM to Marc. He's with Mamapedia and checks in here once in a while. I think that he'd be more likely to actually "try" to help than the mama support team.

I refresh the page and sometimes that lets me in, Or I go to my account and less adds, that way I can get to the questions/answer button.
I have the same problem with the ballerina shoes ad blocking on my iPad so I don't use it to ask ?s just to check the responses.
If you quickly tap the Question line and get your curser in there before the page loads, it will let you ask a question. You may have to refresh it a few times before you can beat it though ;P
I've never had a problem with answering a question, only with asking.

We have asked for other things (bold, underlineing, spell check, etc) and they have ignored us.
Why would they change now?

It's 50/50 if they would. They seemed to listen when I complained that the noisy ads were rotten, and now I keep getting huge ads that cover my page and are very touchy. I HATE them. It's just new and more irritating ways to ruin the function of the page.
It's soooooooooooooo pointless to go to the site from my iphone to browse "Questions and Answers" as the button is always completely underneath an ad. I can't move the ad, soI can't click the Q&A link. *sigh*. So I can only read the questions/answers on my daily email, not on the site from my iphone. I understand they need ads to fund the site. That's fine. But seriously, I can't use the site from my iphone to see anything but the three or so questions pushed to me via email.
Mamapedia, I would spend more time on your site (which is what sponsors want) if I could actually use it from my iphone.
