is there any gear that will allow you to carry twins at the same time. for example i carried my first baby in the bjorn all the time. i want to be able to carry my twins around at the same time not just one at a time, how can i do this. also in regards to a stroller. is there a side by side stroller that i can use when they are newborn right up until they are 3 or 4 years old? i want to buy one stroller for the beginning and use it until they have grown out of it. thank you!

What can I do next?

You can use a baby sling, one for each baby and carry both at the same time. There are many different kinds of slings available

Check out the Maya Wrap at mayawrap.com. I used it for my youngest daughter and I believe I saw something on it's educational video about twins. You can watch the video online before you buy to see if it will work for you. I found it more comfy then the bjorn, which hurt my back!

Hi K. - we have a "Chariot" stroller and they make them for twins - they are a little pricey but great for using as a sport stroller - jogging etc - they make them for twins and you can buy an attachment for infants - (infant sling which fits inside for the newborns) they are great for outdoor activities (there are also attachments for your bike and x country skiing!

Hi K.,
I have 3 1/2 yr old twins and a five yr old - all boys. You can get the Mei Tei wrap carrier and carry one twin on the back and one on the front. Doesn't work for all, but some do it and love it. I used the Graco Duo-Glider, but as soon as my boys could reach, whoever was in the back was pulling on the one in the front. When they turned one year I got the Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon and still use it - best purchase yet! The seat have seatbelts and there are cup holders. I know the new model even has a little carry all attached to the wagon. We also invested in the side by side jogging stroller. Many times I went grocery shopping with the twins in wither the stroller or the wagon with my other child in the shopping cart! We are quite a site sometimes! Good luck!

K.,
A wrap is always a good option for twins, or two ring slings. It's always helpful, too, if you can find someone who can help you figure out how to use them! You can find both at www.blessedbaby.wahmweb.com. Blessings,
H.

Hi K..... we had the Graco Dou RIDER (it's not very common around here, so you may have to order online). I LOVED it.... It was great for my girls from birth until they were about three (I believe the weight limit is 40 pounds per child). It's a bit cheaper than many (about $120),but suits most parents needs in a double stroller. As far as the carrier goes, There is one that I have heard of called "The Maxi-mom for twins" it is basically a double Bjorn/Snugli.... pricey, but I knew a few other twin Moms that have had it and loved it. When my two were little (probably more toward 6-8 months) I actually had a snigli that could be used as a backpack and a front carrier that we rigged up, but they get heavy for that fast. Good Luck!!!

Hi K.,

Depending on the fussiness of the babies I either double slinged or used a sling for one and held the other. Either way is doable until the babies get too heavy for you and you feel like you're going to fall over. :) Unfortunately, I don't know of a stroller that will last that long. I will however, highly recommend you get a Baby Trend Snap n Go frame stroller for when they are in car seats. For me it was a lifesaver! If you haven't seen one, all you need to do is take the car seat carrier and plop it onto the frame. It saves sooooo many headaches when babies are sleeping but you arrived at your destination. You can probably grab one on ebay for $75 or so. Good luck!
