I am a mother of boy/girl twins 3 yrs old and 5 yr old. My boyfriend has a 15 yo and 10 yo. We are looking for inexpensive ways to entertain all the kids on the weekends. Suggestions would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

get the 15 yr old to watch the rest and you and dad go on a date!

I know the Studio Movie Grill does $1 movies in the mornings

The Horce Races in Grand Prairie are extremely family friendly and a whole lot of fun. You can bring in yoyr kfcm chips, your own peanuts, whatever and they have a covered patio full of tables you can eat dinner out there. cheap fun.

Dallas Museum of Natural History is having a free concert series on Thursday nights.

Grapevine has free fireworks every friday night over the lake. There is a park across the lake from the Marina. We take a picnic and go watch the fireworks, let the kids run around the park.

Grapevine is the most kid friendly place ever. They have festivals almost once a month. Next is Grapefest and then the butterfly festival, then chocolate festival. Check the website. Check out fridays at the farm too, you can take the little ones to climb on the tractors and feed the animals.

Sundance Square in Fort Worth is doing free movies inthe square on Thursdays.

Splash parks are fun. We have free ones in Arlington and Grand Praire and a couple that are just $1 to get into. Lok at the arks and rec page of your cities website.

It's expensive initally, but season passes to 6Flaggs might be great for yall. They let you pay in 3 installments and they can use them all year, not just in the summer.

I like the Dallas Museum of Nature & Science at Fair Park to help lots of different ages entertained...ours range from 12 to 2...there is a children's area downstairs for the little kids & exhibits & the IMAX upstairs for the bigger kids...if you plan on going often, the family membership is a great deal.

I thought about bowling, but that can become expensive. How about bike riding, picnic in the park, mini golf, swimming. I am not sure how far you are from Keller, but look at their parks & rec on line. They do a lot of family activities that are pretty inexpensive.

Well, I'm not exactly sure of what your looking for - indoor or outdoor activites or both? But here are some things that come to mind that seem to apeal to all ages, I hope they help =0)

1. Swimming
2. Bowling
3. Gardening - plant a pizza garden, salsa garden, etc.
4. Movies
5. Going out to pizza once in a while is fun and sometimes they have the arcade sections
6. making homemade icecream in a baggie, I just did this with a soon to be 14 year old and a 4 year old and they both LOVED it. Google a recipe.

You could start a Saturday or Sunday morning outdoor breakfast ritual. Cook breakfast outside or take breakfast with you at a different location each time. You could choose a local lake (we have lots), local park (Dallas/Fort Worth has tons). After breakfast you could move on to an indoor activity since Texas summers are Super Hot.

Take a look at the below link too, it has a list of things to do that are usually free.
