I used to go to one called Andree's Corner. Not very creative. There is also one called "From our home to yours" and "More than you can imagine" nearby. There is also one called "Kid's Closet".
My friend lives near one called "Wee Generations". I've always thought that was a cute name.
Are ya'lls consignment stores pretty good? My son has outgrown alot of things sold in those places (Bumbos, boppys, playyards), but when he was small, the ones near me were pretty well stocked w/a steady flow of clothes, books and toys. Good quality and they were really picky about the items they took in. I have another friend who lives near a small one and I think its poorly managed because the items are so run down and worn out and there is hardly any selection of anything.
I'm all about buying resale or even from free cycle, which is huge in my neighborhood.
My hubbys cousin had one years ago called “Bears Repeating”. I thought it an incredibly witty name. You know the saying “This bears repeating”. And the items did!
But she did not start up in a great location and had some personal issues after several years, so joined forces with another local place and closed her own location.
A Wee Change, They Grow So Fast and Lauren’s Closet. I LOVE Lauren’s Closet because they have a huge teen section. My daughter can get designer jeans that retail new for $150 for $35-$40, and it’s also a great place to shop for prom/special occasion dresses and jackets and coats
Smallclothes, Sugarlump, lollipops, dungeness kids, Olivia’s consignment, kiddy corner, children’s warehouse, city kids, kids on 45th, treehouse kids, again and a gain.
We have a great kids’ consignment store here called Sweet Pea Consignment. The owner is growing her business via word of mouth, and shows her new items on Facebook. She opened last year and her biz has really taken off. I think the key to it is having high standards.
It is called Heaven Sent…and lives up to that title.
I have not had to ‘‘pay’’ for clothes for my kids for over two years because what I take into sell…I just use as store credit…Therefore I pretty much have an open tab with the place…that is always in the positive. Which is nice for birthday gifts and stuff:)
We have a couple that are really good, they are very picky about what they accept. I believe these are ‘Chain Stores’ because I have seen other stores with the same name in a couple different cities I have lived…but they are still the best two in my city!
