Weekday toddler and infant activities in south Arlington

We are moving to south Arlington and looking for weekday (morning mostly) activities appropriate for both a toddler and an infant. We currently enjoy Kindermusik familytime in Dallas, but I can’t find anyone who offers family time in Arlington. We also like outdoor activities. I am open to any ideas. Thanks so much for your help!

Story time at the libraries are always good. Also, you could joing a Mom’s group. There is a great one on meetup.com - Mansfield Moms. Most of the activities we do in that group are in South Arlington or in Mansfield. Playdates at someone’s home, meeting at a park, going to the zoo, going to a pool or splash park are all things the Mommies group does.

There is also a great place on Magna Carta in Grand Prairie close to Sublett and 360 called Doogoland. It is a pretend place - great for toddlers with a pretend grocery store, restaurant, car repair, salon, fire station etc. There is also a soft play area for infants and a small lounge area for parents with a big screen tv for watching you kid on the video monitors.

Little Gym is my daughters favorite place we go. It is in Arlington in the Highlands Shopping Center at Matlock and I20.

The Arlington Early Childhood PTA has playdates for all ages. Check out www.kidpta.com. Also, the Luna Moms of Arlington have at least 2 playdates a week. They do crafts or play at the park or go to the zoo. Check them out at Meetup | Group not found Both these groups offer Moms Night Out as well. The Mansfield Activity Center has Toddler Time twice a week. There’s also the Little Gym in Arlington Highlands. I have a lot more ideas if you want to email me sometime. When are you moving?

Susan T.,
I had my kids in Kindermusik here in S. Arlington with Mrs Vicki Schweiss. She is AWESOME!!! I also took my kids to the library for toddler time. The southeast branch was good when my kids were little. Since then they have opened up a Southwest branch. Central Library is great with “Mr. Bob” for story time. I would also suggest Fielder Road Baptist Church Early Childhood Center. My son and daughter both attended there at different times. The program is beyond excellent! They only go up to kindergarten but they are wonderful! One other thing I used to do when my kids were younger was walk in the morning at the mall. I would get there at around 9am and walk (with the kid(s) in a stroller) for nearly an hour. Afterwards the kids could play at the play area. I always had snacks and books for them while I was walking. I always met another mom or two to walk with while I was there.
Hope you find plenty to do here!
I know we did other things and stayed busy all the time, I just can’t remember what else we did.
