I have an idea for a student mentoring org and I wanted to get some feed back on the idea..Let’s Talk is a non profit student mentoring organization. I am a mother concerned with educating our youth about issues they deal with on a daily basis. I am taking a step at making a difference. I have been working really hard at getting Let’s Talk implemented into schools in our area for next school year. Let’s Talk is an after school program aimed for both girls and boys grades 6-12. This program allows students to submit their questions and concerns anonymously to a box placed in the library. I am all about uplifting our kids and teaching self respect and respect of others. I am so eager and up for the challenge that I am asking you as parents to let me know what you think. I think as educators and parents it’s our job to inform our kids and get them on the right path to making smart and healthy decisions for their future.
