Part 2 of my search of a good camera (smile sensor?)

I know SLR's are better for speed and quality but i am trying to get away from the big bulky camera that I have to a sleek and small one that will fit in my pocket.

I went to best buy today to check out my options. I wanted to test them out to see how easy it is to navigate and change my shooting modes. This is important since I have a 2 year old on the move and cary a lot of bags that come with having a toddler.

I am looking for a camera with many shooting modes to pick from - mainly (aquarium, underwater and kid) the more options I have the more overall better quality I will have in different environments. Since my 2 year old is in LOVE with fish we visit aquariums often and i always end up with a flash instead of a pic.

With a toddler on the run I want a camera that had a fast response which is pretty much anything that is out compared to my 3 sec delay on my current camera.

I did find out that Sony and some Nikons have a "Smile Sensor" which was pretty cool.

My question is this...for those of you that have a "smile sensor" on your camera has it seemed to be an asset?
