My mother and MIL both asked for platters for Christmas with my kid's handprints on them or one that the kids painted themselves. I cannot seem to find a paint your own pottery place. They used to be all over the place. Does anyone know where there are some in the Dallas area? THANKS!! :)

The Joy of Pottery in McKinney. It's located in the shops right in front of Home Depot at Virginia & Custer. It's fabulous!!!

They do ALL kinds of stuff - glasswork, mosaics, etc. Very nice people - we've done some business networking together, and I have clients whose daughter goes to kids night every month. They also have ladies night, etc. Enjoy! Beltline & Plano Rd (Near staples, in the corner of the stripmall. Super Suppers is there also.).
Not sure what part of town you are in by my friends own Art-A-Rama in Plano (East) and they are very nice and have a ton of fun pottery pieces not to mention they are totally kid friendly. Tell them Kim from Pappy's Pet Lodge referred you! Good Luck. Kim

I'll second the Joy of Pottery in McKinney. My 4 year old and I love going there.
I know there is a place in Plano at Parker and Independence. I read about one in North Texas Kids that is at arapaho and coit. Also their is a great independent company called piggies and paws that makes pictures out of children's hand and footprints. Hope this helps.
Quiglys is great. The kids prgrams, ladies night and couples. The cou0le who runs it is awesome and they are a bit more affordable than most.
