Does anyone know anything about the Mary Sears child-care facility in New Lenox? I work from home and am looking for a place with lots of fun activities to send my two children a few mornings a week this summer.
My children do not attend classes there but, I did however look into it about a year ago. I know they have a summer camp but, I'm unsure of the hours. If I'm correct they have school hours and also daycare hours. I thought it sounded great but, I couldn't pick my kids up in time. If you haven't gone there for a tour yet - check it out. They have a pool in the back as well, as long as you give the OK.
I am a licensed in home provider who heard former employees from mary sears talking about how bad it was. we were at a seminar. did you consider a day care home or do you prefer a facility?
i am a mother of two, 4yr old girl and an alomost 3 yr old boy. when i was looking to put my kids into something like what you are doing i called around and mary searswas not only a little pricy, they where rude and uncaring to me on the phone. the person i spoke to sounded as if i was wasting her time. if someone can act like that to another person my thought was how will they treat my kids? try your park disctrict, they always have activities in the summer and it is cheaper. hope this helps.
Hi - my name is Sue and I live in New Lenox - I sent my son to Mary Sears from 3 months till 15 months, then, quit to stay home with him and my new daughter. I had many problems with Mary Sears - from extreme diaper rashes; to:they lost my son, and were surprised that I showed up only to find him alone in the bathroom. My son was bit, hard enough to bruise and they weren't going to do anything about it -till I pushed for a resolve. They had a poor tracking of supplies by child (wipes), my son went there 2 days a week and one week I sent 80 wipes and after 3 days, they asked for more. Just nonsense things like that - was glad when I left! Sorry this is so negative, I know that some people love the place - not me! Hope this helps! Sue
