I have some out of town guests coming in next weekend and I am looking for a hotel in the Silverlake/ Los Feliz neighborhoods.
Glendale Hilton is just up from your area and is a nice hotel (great pool!).

I usually put friends at the Renaissance at the Hollywood Highland complex. Loads for them to do a centrally located. Also there are a bunch of good hotels downtown. Sadly the only hotels in Los Feliz/Silverlake are pretty shabby.
I think the closest one to Silverlake is in Glendale, that is decent. Red Lion Hotel on Brand and there's a Holiday Inn off the 134 on Central. Otherwise you might have to do Hollywood or Burbank. There is also a decent Holiday Inn off the 5 FWY in Burbank. Both areas are around food and shopping, at least. I hope this helps. If you want to stay in Pasadena, there are lots of grea hotels near old town. Marriot is right off the 134, Fairoaks and walking distance from Old Town. Good luck!
there is a Best Western on Franklin closer to Beachwood canyon that has a fantastic restaurant in it called the 101 Coffee Shop.
Also, there's the Los Feliz Lodge:
My parents really liked the Hollywood Hotel on Vermont. What is their budget? I read about a B&B in Silverlake, a little house where they rent out parts of it.
