I am a first time mom and having my son baptised (Catholic) this weekend. Should I give the godparents a gift? If so, any suggestions that I can find locally (Dallas area) this week, I live in Richardson. I have been so busy recently and this just crossed my mind yesterday.
Thank you.
Things Remembered carries really cute, inexpensive keepsake-type gifts that you can have engraved for the Godparents. Engraving usually takes about an hour and the have a store in Collin Creek Mall. Visit their website for ideas: www.thingsremembered.com
Hope this helps you!
You may want to go up to Mardel's on Coit- just north of Park. They have A LOT of gifts- my personal selection would be a Willow Tree angel you can see them at: http://www.catholicsupply.com/christmas/wtangels.html
Review response. If you see this text, please inform Support, as you should see a Business Review instead.
When we baptised our son (greek orthodox), its usually the godfather/ or god mother that buys a gift (like a cross pendant) to the child.
You do not need to buy them anything, other than to tell advice them their roll is serious in your chils life.
Don't stress yourself out, just enjoy that day, it's a beautiful thing.
