My daughter is turning 4 and we throwing her a birthday party. I'm looking for finder food ideas for the party, tired of the same old stuff. I already have a few finger food that I will be serving like, cup cake, chicken wing, veggie plate, spring roll, and fruit salad. Any ideas would be greatly appreciate.
For our son's 3rd birthday, he wanted corn dogs, so we found some at Sams Club (they were a huge hit). We had a fruit salad, cheese/crackers, fresh veggies.
The BIGGEST surprise to me was how many of the kids ate the buffalo chicken dip I made - totally blew me away. I'd made it for the adults.
I also made homemade onion rings that were a hit (though time consuming).
We went to a 4 year-old's birthday party recently. They had individual applesauce cups for the kids as well as string cheese which were all hits.
I've always made what were called "Armenian sandwiches". Basically a tortilla rolled up with just about anything, and then cut into about 1 inch pieces. If you want some specific stuff to put in there, let me know - I always do the same thing.
Based on the theme of the party you can cut sandwiches out of cookie cutters to match. You can even make Jell-O Jigglers the same way! Jell-O is a fun finger food! Cookies are another idea. You can turn this into an event for the children to enjoy. Give them their own cup/bowl filled with frosting and give them a Popsicle stick to spread. This keeps everyone's germs to themselves and lets the kids have the fun of licking the frosting off of their sticks!! Sprinkles for a finishing touch are wonderful! This way you could also get away with not having to give out plastic bags filled with candy or stuff that will break easily. The kids are making and taking their party favor!
Tater Tots, pigs in a blanket, bowls of goldfish crackers, those little applesauce cups to pack in lunches, fruit roll ups, those soft cookies w/frosting on top (cheap at Walmart), string cheese (for those kids that like them, small individual fruite cups (ready packaged for lunches). Hope that helps. Have fun and happy birthday to your little one!
