Hi Mommie Friends-
Here is the situation: I have a 2 1/2 that will be three in October and a baby on the way-due date is Dec 1st. I am debating between buying a double stroller or just a single stroller travel system.
I have heard good things and bad about double strollers...heavy...hard to move around in some stores, etc. So I was wondering if a single stroller would be best and just have my oldest walk...but to have the convenience of having both sitting sounds really nice, but I just worry about spending the extra money and my 2 1/2 yr grow out of it too quickly.
Any suggestions or thoughts from moms that have been in this similar situation would be greatly appreciated...
Thank you in advance for everything!
Have a blessed day!
Hi Kaylon!
I am in almost the same position you are. I have a 17 month old and am expecting our 4th in about 6 weeks. With our first two children who are 20 months apart I had a double stroller it was a Graco duo glider. It was great to have, because I didn't want to chase around a 20 month old. However, was big and heavy. Now I definitely need one again, but I don't want a big, heavy stroller. The new graco double stroller is still very heavy and I had a hard time getting the infant car seat in and out of it. It did fold up better than the old double stroller, but to me that's not good enough. I need it to be easy. So I am trying to look for other ideas. I didn't want to spend alot of money, because it is my 4th, but Peg Perego has a side by side that supposedly fits through doors and has one side big enough to hold an infant car seat. It's called Aria Twin 60/40. I haven't tried one yet, but they carry them at Lone Star Baby in North Richland Hills. The reviews on this stroller have been nothing but good. The only problem in my book is that it's $100 more than the graco. Hope this helps!! Good luck on your search!
I hated my double stroller, and I will never have another one. It was too bulky and too hard to manuever. With a little girl that will be 17 months old and a newborn, I will have an umberella stroller for the 17 month old and a travel system for the newborn. Thankfully though for me, my boys are 10 and 8, and my mom or hubby go everywhere with me.
