I am in need of a dinosaur cake in the DFW area (meaning south DFW as I live in Joshua).
I have been to Sweet Imaginations, Albertsons and Wal Mart and both SI and WM have cakes that would scare most 3 yr olds and Albertsons has a cake that'll feed 8 and I have more than 25 people coming for his party and most are of the adult persuasion.
I need this cake by Saturday, February 6th, NOON...as the party is at 2.
I am open for suggestions. Thanks a mil!!!
Visit http://cakeappeal.blogspot.com/ This is a friend of mine who does AMAZING cakes! She is not far from Joshua and delivers. You can see some of her work on this site and get her contact info, too. Hope this helps, good luck and have fun at the party!
There is a cake shop in Benbrook called Sweet Treets ( I think), it is located on 377 in the shopping center that has Little Ceasers Pizza. They can do ANYTHING you want!! I have also purchased a "plain" cake or cookie cake from Sam's and just had them do colors that I want and then add your own dino figures.
Hope this helps!! Have a great party!
The one in Benbrook is called "Treat Me Sweet" I would call or go over there and ask them. It just moved into the new shopping center on 377
Try Lemon Sisters in Cleburne they are awesome. Another thought is to do cupcakes and shape them like a long neck dinosaur. hth Happy Birthday to your little one. :)
Maybe check out the Bluebonnet Bakery in FW (off Camp Bowie)? I don't know if they do cakes like that (dinosaur), but I know they custom make cakes (I've seen many for baby showers); and although they are a little pricier, they are FANTASTICALLY delicious, with many flavors of cake to choose from. Otherwise, have you thought about having a friend make the cake for you? I've made my kids birthday cakes (using a cake pan), and 2 friends of mine have taken cake decorating classes. I bet if you asked around, you could probably find a friend of a friend who would do this for you. Good luck!
I got a dinosaur cake from Kroeger 11 years ago for a 1st birthday and it didnt scare our son. It was adoreable. The dinosaurs body was the cake. We got lots of compliments on the cake
Well…we forewent the dinosaur cake and went with an Elmo head sitting on top of a half sheet cake instead. The cheapest we could get what we wanted was like $150 and well…he’s 3 not 33…so i’m thinking he didn’t care as long as it’s cake. We got it at Albertson’s and it was great. FYI…i don’t like thier cupcakes…but the cake was fab.
Anyway…THANKS for all the suggestions, I got some awesome contacts for future parties and visited some places I’d neveer been!
