Calling all Brookfield Area Mommys of infant/toddlers

Hello mommas! I have a 12-month-old boy that stays at my mom’s house while I work (M-F 7:30-4:00). This past weekend we got togther with my friend and her 8 month old son for the first time. My son just wanted to be near him, touch him, hold his hand, etc. He couldn’t get enough. Unfortunately, my friend lives all the way out in Romeoville so we don’t see eachother that often, plus her son was too young to really be social.

Now my mom wants to take my son to “Grandma and me classes”… which we all know are mommy-and-me classes… so that he can be social. It breaks my heart that he’s with her all the time… it would KILL me if she was the one taking him to Mommy and me classes. Does anyone know of any weekend playgroups or classes for moms and infants in the Brookfield area?? Any moms with kids close to the same age that would be interested in meeting up for zoo (have membership) or park outings on weekends?

Have you checked your park district? I attend a toddler/parent class on Saturdays with my daughter through the Schaumburg park district. I know our park district offers a couple, just a couple, of Saturday classes. It actually really bothers me that they don't have any evening classes to take with your children. It is all geared toward stay at home moms, which is great, but what about us moms who have to work? Anyway check out your area park district and see what they offer. You might be surprised.

I am in the Oak Park parents group and know there are a few others in brookfield/lagrange as well.
