We have a safety fence around our pool. It actually came with the house, so i'm not sure who installed it... :-(

There are recessed holes set in the concrete where the poles go and the netting is attached to the poles - easy to remove and store in the garage, then easy to put back into place. I prefer that, rather than a net that sits above the water.

I just researched nets and fences and decided to go with a fence. Our pool company charges an extra $10 per visit for taking on and putting on the net.
