I use straight Listerine in a spray bottle. Safe and harmless. Also, you can tuck a dryer softener sheet beside the baby.
POWDERED GARLIC. I buy it in bulk at Costco. Rub it on exposed appendages, the powder will fall away but smell remains. Works PERFECTLY, even in deep woods. I have bug allergies and most sprays actually attract bugs to me. This work great! Luckily, I like garlic and the smell doesn't bother me. 100% natural and safe if he ingests it.
