My inlaws have their timeshare condo in Branson this year, and we are going to be there maybe a week in mid-June. I know there is lots to do there, but picking what to do is tough! If you have been to Branson for vacation, what did you enjoy doing when you were there? I have a 5 year old boy, so something family friendly would great, plus anything evening wise for me and my hubby if we get an evening alone!
Stephani,
We were just there in November - one thing we had a great time doing as a family was riding the duck! It was fun...you get your picture taken - and of coarse pay the "souvenir" price for it :) plus everyone gets a duck bill "whistle" - it hoots like a duck - since it was cool when we were there - we didn't get to do alot of the outside things...as adult time goes...we enjoyed the Stone Hill Winery tour.
Have fun!!!
Silver Dollar City was a lot of fun and so was the Dixie Stampede Show. There's a great waterpark we went to also (can't remember the name). We had a lot of fun last July when we went. You MUST MUST MUST go to Springfield about 30 miles south of Branson and have lunch or dinner at Lambert's Cafe. You will never forget your dining experience there - it's the home of the "Throwed Roll" - LOL
I agree with the previous post...Silver Dollar City is great! We vacationed there several times when I was growing up and now my nieces, 9 and 7, love it also!! Have fun!
We went when my daughter was 2 and a half. Some of the highlights were the Branson Belle Showboat, renting a boat for half a day and cruising the lake our condo was on, the Elvis show in the old section downtown. We also saw the Oak Ridge Boys at the Large theatre, it was very entertaining.
Something unique, we went to the Cowboy Church in the strip mall on Sunday morning and it was a really moving service. :)
Silver Dollar City was VERY crowded and not very clean in my opinion but I am sure your son will love it.
Have fun!
Thanks all for the ideas, that will definitely help when planning our days there. The Winery sounds fun, I’ll will be sure to mention that one to my hubby. Im sure my inlaws will rent a boat too on the lake, as they retired and live on a lake outside the metroplex full time now.
