what to do for a baby shower

you can make like a tostada and taco bar. just put out avery thing that you need to make them and they could help themself. or just have finger sandwishes and chips and dip.

Hello Margarita....One of my baby showers, my mother made it very simple for me. I am also mexican and she or we served tostadas. We purchased Guerrero tostadas and she had chicken salad for the tostadas or shredded chicken with all the other ingredients to go with them such as shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. Everyone loved my mum's tostadas.

If you want to get more fancy, purchase boneless ribs (I purchase at Costco)marinate them with Worchester Sauce over night. The day of your party, cut them in slices and put them in a crock pot and fill with bbq sauce and cook them. They come out soooooo tender and juicy. You can serve vegtebles and either potato salad or mashed potatoes. I guarantee either one will be delicious..

Just some food for thought....take care and all the best in the upcoming of your blessing.

Hi Margarita,
You can make easy things for your shower. Buy some chips and make a few different types of dips. Veggies are always great too. Cut up some fresh fruit or buy some strawberries and put them in a pretty bowl. You can make finger sandwiches. Some with ham/cheese or turkey, even tuna. Cut the sandwhiches into small squares or whatever shape you want and put an olive on top of each with a tooth pick. For drinks you can make a punch drink in a big punch bowl. One of my favorties is Hawaian Punch with seven up and sherbert Ice cream. You just mix those ingrediants together. Set up your table with a nice table cloth and put some fresh flowers around your food.

Good luck
Ana

Hi, about giving a shower you need muchy foods-potato chips, sandwich, deserts doesnt have to be expense but well put together about speaking very well, i'm mexican from here and my spanish isnt that great, i love the spanish langue and everyone from usa is trying to learn it. just do your best and maybe they will learn with you. good luck

I would advise something simple, order a large sub sandwich with all the condiments on the side. Have fruit salad, potatoe salad things of that nature. Keep it easy and something you can leave out for a longer period of time. Best Wishes with your baby shower and soon to arrive little one. Wendy mother of 2.

It's really up to you whether you want to serve a full meal or appetizers. I have had several babyshowers and we usually serve a full lunch BBQ - BBQ Chicken, rice, beans and salad or you could do simple hotdogs/burgers and chips. Hope you have fun - it's your special day.

Hi margarita, congratulations on your baby, well to me a good idea for a babyshower meal would be to meybe like 3 different salads and made tostadas (talvez como ensalada de pollo, de jaiva y de alguna otra que teguste) its spring and i think that would be nice, again good luck

I wish I spoke Spanish! I hope you can read this.

You do not need to serve any food if you don't want to. Usually, at a baby shower you would serve some kind of drinks (soda, juice, punch or lemonade are fine) and cake. If you want to, you can serve sandwiches, fruit, cut up vegetables or chips. It doesn't have to be fancy! Have fun.

Querida Margarita,
Buena suerte,
E.M.

Hey Margarita just want it to let you know that you can do a mix of fruits plate; such as pineapple, watermelon, naranjas, peppino, cocos, and jicamas como snack. on the side put some lemon and chile de polvo your know. if you like you can order subway diferentes sandwish los partes en pedasos chicos y lo sirves con chips. If u like sea food you can make some tostadas too.

Dear Margarita, One idea is to have a brunch baby shower. Ask a friend or family member if they have one of those belgium waffle makers that make good and fast waffles. If so, that is a great basis that your friend could make and you could provide fresh fruit, whipped cream and syrup and butter for toppings on the side. You could also have tea and juice for drinks. The rest of the food could be potluck, where everyone else brings a brunch dish to share. I have gone to one baby shower and thrown one for my sister that was like this and it was wonderful.-AM

Are giving your own shower? Is a typical mexican shower, men women and kids? usally you have finger foods or small sandwiches, vegetables, drinks,& cake. If its a panchga well you know what food they will want. The whole enchilada! It is up to you. hope this helps

Hola. Me encanta tener fiestas. No entiendo tu pregunta. Cantas personas? Queires comprar la comida hecha o queires cocinar?

I would do a taco, tostada bar with chips, taquitos, guacamole, and empanadas of course!!! Yum, yum!!!!
You could also have some sweets like M&Ms available. The Vons cakes are also great. Especially the white cake with fresh strawberries and buttercream filling. They cost about $31 for a half sheet cake and need to be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance.

Margarita,

You don't have to go all out during a baby shower, you can serve simple foods such as ham & cheese sandwiches, crackers and cheese, cerviche and crackers, tuna and crackers, wings, fruit salads, enchiladas, ...just don't spend too much money.

first - congratulations on your new baby. As for food, I would suggest to consider your budget, the amount of people attending and the time you will have your shower. If you feel confortable I would suggest a variety of foods. Maybe a few salads: pasta salad, green salad, chicken and Tuna salad. also ships and dips and salsa's. If time and budget allows, you can order fried chicken from a local market. A variety of breads/rolls. For additional side dishes you can try rice and beans. for those who do not care for cake as a dessert, try a jello dish or flan-hope this helps

Hola Margarita,
Felicidades!

I think hawaiian food is easy and great do something easy so you don't have to stress.

Baby showers are a small party where focus is more on starters.

I’ve been to loads of baby showers and I find them really interesting. Here’s what I’d love if I were at a baby shower.
Canapes,
Fish fingers
Corn cheese balls/Potato cheese Balls
Grilled Pineapples,Bread coins,Satays.
In drinks , a fruit punch would be great.
Main course should be pretty light With Quesadillas.
As it is as shower there will be cake so that pretty much makes up for the dessert part.

Hope it helps
