Seeking advice from any single moms who have attended either UTA or Texas Womens

I'am currently going to TCC interested in transferring to either UTA or Texas Womens University in denton. Interested in social work. I'am trying to put myself and my 2 children in the best possible situation to survive until I can get a degree for a better job. Does anyone no if either of these colleges helps with housing and I need suggestions on childcare. Just curious to know how other moms like me have been getting by. Any suggestions are very welcomed. I have a infant and a school aged child. Thanks so much.

Hi Dominique,

I attended TWU and I know they have a childcare program and I believe also housing for single mothers although I am not 100% sure on the housing. I have a friend who used the childcare program and she loved it. Good Luck!!

There's a great website for home childcare where your children will receive one-on-one attention. It will give you peace of mind so you can focus on your classes and know while you're having to spend time on your homework that they had a great day. I had a wonderful experience with home childcare.

(names that are underlined have a website)

Good luck to you, Pat

Didn't know if you were aware, but UTA has something called the Maverick Promise which can provide free tuition to individuals with household income of $65,000 or less. That could free up your cash to pay for housing and childcare.
