Scared

With my second pregnancy at age 41 I, too, had brown spotting - for many weeks! I was told to watch it but that it was just my uterus cleaning out and getting ready with the old that it didn't need. And I have been told that 20% of women spot (red!) during their pregnancies with no problems or negative outcomes. I had my second (perfect!) baby at full term and no further isuses whatsoever!
Take care!

I suggest you go in now. No need to add stress to your daily routine. Not being a new time mom...you know what to expect. Any "spotting" during a pregnancy is worth looking into. Not to be grim, but I miscarried my 4th child after spotting. They did a blood test, not a sonogram, to make sure all the "levels" were up to par. My OBGYN took me in the moment I was spotting. At the least, they can offer you the lab work...that does not take up the actual doctor's time if that is the issue. Better safe than sorry. Good luck and I hope everything turns out positive for you.

I had this too and it went away in less than a week. My daughter is 2 now and very healthy. If it turns bright red go to the hospital otherwise just try to take it easy.

I had some light spotting at about 8 weeks and my OB was not concerned. My sister in law (RN) told me to relax and try to keep my feet up. My son is a healthy 3 year old and I did not have any other problems with my pregnancy. I remember being very scared.

I hope all goes well.

I also had light spotting for the first couple of months. I was very scared but it turned out to be nothing. My son is now 13 months old. I hear its common.

I had spotting with my daughter. doctor told me the same thing, not to worry. Everything turned out fine for us. : ) Try not to stress. : )
