We're moving from Chicago to Skokie in June and need to find a reputable, reasonably priced moving service. Has anyone out there had a great moving experience?
Linda,
I have used Golans 2 Times within the last 3 years. They were great and on time. It cost me to move a house with big, heavy furniture, and big screen TV's about $600. They wrapped everything with their own blankets and about $100 of that was material (i.e. boxes, blankets, tape, and wardrobe boxes). If you want to save $ I recommend doing this your self. they were great. Good Luck With Your Move, Valerie
Linda,
We used Raffi Movers 4 times in a year and half (don't ask). My sister and my parents used them too. We will be calling them to move some other stuff in a month also. THey are great and very careful. Nothing broken. They are out of Skokie, I believe. We have a 4 story townhouse in Chicago and these guys carried up very heavy bedroom furniture. IN addition, we hired a couple of guys to pack my kitchen and some other things and I could not have packed like they did. Let me know if you can't find the # and I can dig through our papers.
Hi,
When we moved to the city a few years back we used North Shore movers. And in May we are moving to Deerfield and we have booked them again. They may not be the cheapest but they were fast and trust-worthy.

I worked for Hollander Storage and Moving for 3 years. www.hollanderstorage.com Definitly a great company! My Dad is a packer too so let me know if you need help there!

This is an older post I realize, but I wanted to give a shout out to three men and a truck https://threemenandatruck.net/ as far as a good moving company. We’ve used them twice in the past five years and they’re fairly cheap while still being affordable and professional. Would definitely use them again if needed.
