Hi Moms..
I am new to Austin area. I would like to take out my little daughter to see the Christmas decorations, lights, x'mas trees, Santa, skating rinks and such things on the X'mas evening.
Please suggest me the places such as parks or streets with X'mas decorations where we can spend 2/3 hours. Downtown would be too far away from where we live. We are located in North Austin, Arboratum area to be specific.
Thanks.
Since they have forgone the trail of lights this year, (which i have in all my 32 years here never been to), We went last night to the street that I always wanted to make our family tradition It is an entire street (minus a couple of houses, that goes wild off of Guadalupe and 37th street, find a place nearby that won't tow you to park and go walking up and down the street It is Austin exemplified all the way and It is a great place to get some cool photo ops! That and the area of highway on 360 where people go and decorate some of the trees.Merry Christmas
Domain mall in north austin has a huge Christmas tree and you can see loads of people there taking pictures. It is very pretty. If your daughter is old enough to play in snow, this year they also have an area where they have a snow hill for kids to play.
