Have any of you used any of the local nanny placement services? From March 1 to June 1 we will need a nanny for our then 3 month old son until he is 6 months, at which time our daycare (Scottsdale Learning Center) will take him. We only need someone Tuesday, Wed and Thurs, so I have been looking at part-time temporary nannies. The placement services all say they do background checks, etc, but I'd like to go with a place and person that we know has cared for children before and had a good experience. In addition to the normal concerns of how they care for the child, I have a rater irrational concern of someone posing as a nanny just to get access to and take a child. I know it's a little silly, but I can't shake it. So has anyone succussfully used a local service/nanny?
