I currently have My Home, Auto and Life Insurance with Allstate, I'm looking to change to 1 or more companies to get the best price, my premiums have more then double and can no longer afford them. Reason being "everything is going up". I'm considering State Farm, American Family Insurance, Farmer's Insurance and Met Life but don't know how they rate. I'm looking for something reputable and affordable.
I have had State Farm for many years and no problems. I have 2 cars and home with them to get the discounts. I was going to switch to Farmers but they would not cover the house, saying that we had too many claims. We have NEVER made any claim on the house and one years ago for the van. I had to fight to get my money back. My house insurance has gone up maybe $50 in the past 3 years so it pretty good.
We have American Family for homeowners and car insurance. We recently had a homeowners claim and they were very helpful and easy to work with. The agent is friendly and not pushy (we've had them for about 15 years now.) I don't know what that is going to do to our premiums in the future, but they seem to be a good company with competitive rates.
