Need advice on EXCELLENT Independant living

My parents live in the Meridian area and it is time for them to move to independant living, with minor assistance available. I've approached the subject, but get shut down quickly, as they do not want to move. But more and more things are happening to them in their home. They just need some help. We've interviewed visiting Angels, but I'm not real comfortable with them. Can anyone give me some insight on a place to move them, how to get them to agree, or on the visiting Angels group?

I have been through this already. Your parents will likely soon be at a point where they need more care. I would suggest calling Linda HInes at Grace Assisted Living in Meridian - 867-1001. They have all levels of care and the best thing you can do is get your parents into a facility where they can progress to more extensive care as they need it without having to change facilities. Linda is a registed nurse and she is the owner. She is a kind and caring person who takes a personal interest in the well being of the folks in her care.

I live about 3 blocks for the Grace Assisted Living in Nampa across from Liberty Park. I love that place. They are so nice. All the people we have visited love living there. The best part is that they also have a higher level care center on Midland so it would be an easy transfer if the need ever arose. I think it might be easier to get your parents interested if they visited a few places just to get a feel of them. The best part about the Nampa on is that it's right now the street from the Rec Center and the Senior Center.
