We have summer home on a lake in Concord, MA (White Pond). We are interested in a new raft, about 12x12. I've checked out customfloats.com and really like the "premier floats" that many of my neighbors have. I'm also wondering what kind of surface we should have. I really like the look of "trex" decking that one of my neighbors have. I figure it would be good on the kiddos bare feet as they run and jump into the water. Does anyone have a company they could recommend?
Kris, I don't know anything about the use of composite decking for floats, but one question I would ask is whether or not it is treated somehow to prevent slipping when it is wet. My deck on my home is made of composite decking. It can be very slippery at times. Just a thought. Good luck.
