Does anyone know of any good travel websites. I am trying to plan a family vacation. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Friends of ours just created a website: ChildTravelTips.com. It is still fairly new but may have some good information, esp. if traveling with small children.
I love Trip Advisor. Especially for finding hotels. The feed back on their website from other travellers is very helpful.
Here is a site if you want to travel to New Zealand,
www.new-zealand-vacation.info
It is based on my daughter's 6 month tour of New Zealand and my one month visit traveling with her. We do not have the commercial stuff up yet, just the information. The site is extensive with over 300 pages of information.
Have fun, Madeline
I live by tripadvisor.com It's the best real guage of the quality of any event or hotel or attraction
My favorite place is tripadvisor.com- I have gotten so much wonderful advice from so many great people who are willing to answer what you may deem a "silly" question- or can tell you the best places to get the best deals- plus the best reviews. Good luck! :)
I found some good stuff on http://www.vacationkids.com/. Thought the reviews were pretty helpful as far as "kid" amenities, like activities, babysitter availablility, baby gear, etc.
Applevacations.com is great. There are a ton of great reviews and ratings. We have used it for years and have always found the reviews to be accurate and honest. This is a wonderful site! Hope it helps and have fun on your trip!
sidestep.com is my fav!
Check out tripadvisor.com. We LOVE the reviews and suggestions!
Once you pick your destination you may want to try www.pickpackgo.com or www.homeaway.com. These sites give you options to rent homes and condos which I have found to be a much more relaxing stay with a family rather than a hotel. Many homes, depending on location, may offer swimming pools, jacuzzi's, washers and dryers, etc.
Good luck!
One of the best with great deals is sidestep.com
Also, expedia.com
Some of the others offer great deals, however, you can't preview hotels, etc. until you pay.

hi - we have always used a travel agent - Highly recomend Sal Travel in Hoffman Estates. 847-991-2500 We work with Sally the owner there, but everyone is nice. They will listen to what you want - do all the work at no cost to you and come back to you with recommendations for the price you are looking for & type of vacation you want (ex. active, relaxing, child care.. etc.) I like going to them because they usually have past stories of the do's & dont's in the area we travel... Good Luck.
