Hello ladies, I am back seeking the help of all you beautiful ladies again. Thank you for all the responses about the pediatrician, and most recently the Chinese food. (Thanks Jo C for recommending Great China in Kirkland. It's been the closest so far, but still looking. Just got back from NY this weekend and got some while there though.) Anyway, this time I am looking for an Ob/Gyn. Preferably Bellevue, maybe Renton. Male or female doesn't matter, just someone knowledgeable, available, and great bedside manner. If you can help, please do so. I've been researching some names on the web and have gotten mixed reviews. Some of those ones I've come across are; Dr. Elisabeth Anton, Dr. Kristin Graham, Dr. Katharine Barrett-Avendano, Dr. Kevin Johnson, Dr. Elisabeth Evans and Dr. Katharine Te.
So to throw out so many names, it's just hard to go by what people post on the web (I know it's what we are doing here but.... I think I trust you moms more). Anyway, if you can help with any names I'd be so grateful.
I really like all of the doctors at bellegrove ob/gyn! I had a surgery with Dr. Zimmer and he was fantastic. Good bed side manner, very competent. I actually got bellegrove off of this website and have never looked back :) Good luck.

I will be checking out Bellegrove next week...seeing Dr. Coe. A lot of my friends see doctors there and have nothing but good things to say.
I can tell you that you DON'T want to see Dr. Te. The time I saw her, she tried to rushed through my appointment and dismissed the questions I had for her which was not okay with me at all. Another friend who couldn't get in with her regular Dr. saw Dr. Te once and didn't care for her either.
On the other hand, I have heard Dr. Evans was very good.
i am with group health - so that doesn't help you probably....I have heard wonderful things about Evans, I went to that practice once, and saw Te and DID NOT LIKE HER AT ALL...not a bad dr. necessarily, but I had just had a miscarriage, and she hardly addressed it at all. Not good bed side manner...and I am not picky about doctors, I understand they are busy, I usually go, let them do their thing and leave.
Yes! Go to Bellegrove OBGYN. They just moved to a new top notch facility... and all the doctors are great! I've been seeing Dr. Nudelman for 3 or 4 years, and have had 2 babies with his assistance! Very knowledgable, easy-going & competant.
Dr. Haines is the president of the Seattle Gynecological Society and the chairperson of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Overlake Hospital Medical Center. In 2002, he was named one of Seattle's Top Doctors by Seattle Magazine.
I also LOVED his nurse and the office. They were always very quick to call back when I had questions. When I was in labor over at Overlake the nurses kept telling me how much they loved working with Dr Haines. He is such a warm friendly guy.
Seattle Women's Clinic is located at Swedish Hospital, but they have an office by Overlake Hospital too. Any one of the doctors there would be a good choice. I used Dr. Faulkner for over 12 years and really like her. But I have had her associates care for me at time too, and they have all been really nice and caring. If i did not like my doctor so much I might have switched to one of the others as my primary ob/gyn.
I JUST moved here and searched for an OB for months. I haven't met him yet, but I got 5 different recommendations from 5 different people for Dr. Lawler. Like you I didn't want to just go on one rec, but I have heard amazing things about this guy so I'm excited to meet him. And he was one of the few in the area that when I did a google search on reviews I couldn't find anything bad about him! Best of luck. He is in Bellevue by the way.
I see one of the other doctors in practice with Dr. Graham and their office is great, the front staff are helpful, and I've never had trouble getting an appointment. I highly recommend this practice and if you see Dr. Graham and decide you don't like her, I see Dr. Rogers. Good luck!
Dr. Heather Moore at Bellegrove OBGYN is wonderful, I've been seeing her for about 6 years. Dr. Anton is also in the Bellegrove practice and I've seen her a couple of times during my two pregnancies. I really liked her too. I've heard from a friend that Dr. Anton has very good surgical skills, ie very minimal scar from a c-section. Dr. Moore, while a wonderful doctor did leave some scars when she did some stitches removing a norplant for me.
I agree 100% with Kara G. Bellegrove ObGyn is the place to go. Dr Nudelman is my doctor and he is awesome. My first pregnancy unfortunately resulted in a late term loss (35 weeks)and he came to the hospital when the on call doctor gave him the news of my loss. He delivered my baby girl. He reassured me when I was in doubt about getting pregnant again. When I did get pregnant again, he was very accomodating to my emotional needs. Long story short.. he delivered 2 healthy babies for me. Dr Nudelman is very competent and personable.
Dr. Tamara Sleeter out of valley womens clinic, is probably the BEST ob/gyn I have ever had. She delievered all three of my babies and did my tubal. She worked in africa delievering babies in villages that hadno doctor. She is logical and listens to you. She has a very practical head though. I would recommend her highly to anyone looking for an ob.
This is a late reply to this request...
But I TOO go to Bellegrove ob/gyn.
My doc is Dr. Zimmer.. but recognized Dr. Anton's name immediately - she was on call when I went in for my first son's Birth.... Dr Nudelman helped deliver my second son (c-section)- they have a bit of a rotation for you to see one or two of the other doc's in case yours is not available on your delivery..
BUT it turned out to not be necessary...Dr Zimmer was there and performed both deliveries.
also the nursing staff are excellent and phs. assist laura is very helpful.
hope you try it out.
p.s. it may seem like they don't have appt's for weeks.. but i have found them very organized in how they provide for appts... some for reg exams, some for pregnancies,. emergencies.. so don't be surprised if you need to make your reg appt 2 1/2 - 3 months out !! it's worth it.

Be aware of Dr Avendano. Don’t let her perform unnecessary test labs (ask before giving your blood or urine and ask for a copy of your results). Make sure she gives you a clear explanation of your symptoms IN WRITING and prescribe you with the right solution or you will be facing 1,2,3 or more visits. Obviously, she charges for each visit, even if she spends 15 min or less with you. For that she will charge you $100-$400. I went for a mild vaginal infection, 5 visits were not enough for her to provide a definite solution. She even prescribed: “put on coconut oil on the vaginal area for a month” (no kidding). She will justify herself by saying it’s only a misunderstanding, but she will keep sending you bills. I asked for a second opinion with a different doctor and she confirmed what I already suspected: Dr. Avendano was not really giving me a treatment for my vaginal infection, she was just getting money from me. Choose another doctor.
