Learning Spanish

Does anyone have any inexpensive ways to learn Spanish. I heard Rosetta Stone is great but it is also extremely expensive. I have the basics of Spanish down great and I understand most and am able to speak on a low level. I would love to be more fluent. Any suggestions?

Check with your local ISD. I know that at the beginning of the school year Birdville ISD sent home information for parents to learn computers, spanish and more. I think the cost was around $50 per course.

Maybe you can go to a spanish church service every week to pick up the language. Do you have any friends that speak spanish? Maybe have one of them can only speak spanish to you to help you with the language. I see you are working on your Education degree...I teach in LISD and have a lot of spanish speaking students. They are more than willing to help me learn some spanish while I help them with English. Especially the younger kids (Kinder, 1st, etc). Whenever I introduce something new and a lot of kids don't know what I'm talking about, I ask some of the kids who are more fluent in English what the spanish word for that is, or phrase we are discussing...they love telling me and I try to say it back to remember it. Then the kids know what I'm talking about and I learn some spanish too. Of course...that won't make me fluent, but it helps me get more familiar with the language.
