in need of ideas for games to play at my scrapbooking slumber party

Hi everyone!
I am putting on my very 1st scrapbooking slumber party next weekend and am wanting ideas for fun games or contests to play. I would really appreciate any ideas ya'll might have. Even if the games aren't "scrapbook related" I might be able to use them anyway.

Thanks,
Jeana Wesson

What about a timed memory game? You'll need to make a pre-designed scrapbook page that is hidden behind another sheet. You'll also need the same materials you used in that sheet to make the number of "kits" for the game players. So, if you have 3 players, you'll need 3 kits with the same page, letters, etc. from the original/hidden page.

Hand out the kits to the players and flash the scrapbook page to them for a few seconds. Give them 1 minute or so to re-create the page you showed them. The person who comes closest to re-creating it "wins". You'll want to have some prizes, too, like some scrapbook stickers or pages or something.

You could also have another game where your guests bring a scrapbook page (already made) of themselves as a baby. Then, everyone passes them around and tries to guess who it is. You could number the scrapbook pages and pass out a sheet of paper where everyone would write the number with their guess for the corresponding person. (Example: #1 is Elizabeth, #2 is Jennifer, etc.)

I think this sounds really fun. I'm not really a game type, but anything that gets people talking and laughing is good (pictionary, cranium, charades). Popping in a fun movie, scrapbooking and snacking is going to be a hit anyways. The links above have a lot of party ideas for adults. Have fun!

Ok I just had to ask... my maiden name is Wesson -- and that's not a REAL common name... can I ask any of your family from around here or from where they hail?

How about setting a timer for say 30 or 60 minutes and whoever has the most done on their page, or the most pages finished gets a prize? The prize could be scrapbook related.

Some cute ideas already, but I wouldn't go overboard on the games. If your friends are avid scrapbookers (like I am), they'll just be happy for the comraderie and to have the time to get some pages done. I go on regular retreats and we simply pop in movies, talk and crop away all weekend long...games on these things would distract us from our objectives! Just a thought. Have fun!!

Stephanie H has some cute ideas.
here are a few more for you.

have a big felt board that would be a layout for a scrapebook page, the pieces would be what you would use for the layout.
what you do is to blind fold the person and give them the pieces for the layout.. They have to post the pieces on the layout being blindfold... see who comes up with the funniest picture, the most interesting picture, best looking picture

and each player has to on a sheet of paper grade the others ones to see who gets each group and that person wins..

hope that makes sense.

break the ice game
take a roll of toilet paper, and get each person to tear off the amout they want.
then after everyone has done this
each person has to tell something about themselves for each sheet of toilet paper they have..

this way they learn about each other before the fun starts.

after each one makes a page, everyone judges them, and they cannot vote for themselves, see which one wins... and they can get something that would be scrapebooking
yet have a token for everyone as they are all winners due to the fact they made a scrapbook page.

have a jar or bowl with slips of paper in it, and each slip of paper has a theme... everyone draws and see what kind of theme they have to do a page on that theme..
as often if they are new to this they may not know where to start or what kind of theme to use, this could help them get started.

have several kind of tools and materisal that you use in scrapbooking on a tray, let everyone sees what on the tray then cover it up.. everyone has to list what was on the tray.. the one that has the most objects that are right wins.

have a door prize everyone enters their name and do it thoughtout the night, or during breaks.

Have a great time, it sounds like your party is going to be fun
and I wish the best for you and your guest.
Remember to relax and enjoy one another, and the other guest met new friends. and enjoy scrapping....

My idea is not nearly as in depth as the others - We have a dice game called LRC - left right center - you can play with money or chips and you roll the dice then move your dice/chips LCR. It is SUPER easy but lots of fun.

We got ours at Spencer gifts.

Awww ... that really sounds like so much fun .. can I come??!? LOL :-)
