It is close to the end of our contract with Spark Energy and there are several providers that have a cheaper rate. We have not had any problems with Spark Energy but I know I can save quite a bit of money going with a cheaper rate.
Do any of you use Mega Energy, YEP, Champion Energy Services, or Southwest Power and Energy? They currently have the cheapest rates. Have you had any problems and did the rates stay the same as what you were quoted?
Thanks for your info.
How funny is that... as a past employee of Spark Energy I can tell you that they truly are a great company... I don't know if you know this or not but they are privately owned and still manage to function and operate wtih the big boys!
I know that some of the others may be slightly cheaper but trust me when I tell you that, even as a FORMER employee, I would support them always...
Good luck with your choices.
I just switched to Champion. A friend sells energy to major companies and recommended Champion. I have a contract for 12 months at .095. I did not realize that my contract with Reliant was up and they were charging me .12 at the beginning of summer and then .145 the month after. I thought the switch had already taken into effect but there was an almost 2 mo wait, after I had made the switch. So def switch and do it soon.
