when my daughter turned 1 it was a big deal for her to actually be 1 and not almost one so those were for sure the week after. Now it depends on our schedule. One daughter has a bday during softball and the other during soccer so we have to find the day that does not conflict with games. ;0) oh and for my older daughter we have a cousin that is 1 year younger but 5 days later so we usually go first.
It depends on what we’re doing for his birthday. My son’s birthday is in Sept but we’re having his birthday party tonight because I bought a Lazer Tag party at a silent auction and we were only allowed to do the party during the week. We decided to do it this week because school starts next week and we know it will be harder to have a weeknight party once school starts. In September we’ll do a family dinner and take him and a friend somewhere fun.
Usually we pick the weekend based on who can come to the party and whether or not we have other things planned. Sometimes we do a pool party so we pick the weekend based on the weather. My niece is doing her birthday early on a weekend when her best friend can be there. Sometimes we do it a few weeks before or after the actual birthdate.
If you can’t decide ask your son what he prefers (if he’s old enough to tell you). Whatever you pick will be fine. He’ll just enjoy having his party regardless of which day you do it.
Try not to stress! Hope this helps!
Depends on what other things are going on in my life.
This is my son’s first birthday “party.” He is going to be 6 and is so excited.
It will be at a park. And he has his guest list already.
Just a few boys.
His friends.
