Hey ladies! Well my husband was cutting limbs today with apparently (I wasn't there) got knocked out by a huge branch that landed on the side of his right foot. We went to ER and got the diagnosis of a broken calcaneus bone on the top side side. I've been reading everything I can find on the net and it's not a pretty thing - esp for a guy that is a Fed Ex Courier (3 month - no weight bearing). Anyway - the most important thing that the sites are telling me is to get the best orthopod in town. I'm scheduling in the morning with the one that was on call and he's probably very good - but just looking for recommendations in case we need a 2nd opinion. So - who do you guys recommend in the Jackson, MS are for orthopedics that may specialize in foot injuries. Thank you in advance. PS - I work from home so this is going to LOVELY for the next 3 months!!
Hi Becky, I go to church with a retired orthapedic dr. and I have been having trouble with my ruptured disks and other back issues so he recommended for me to go to Capital Orthopaedic clinic 971 Lakeland dr Ste 353 601-987-8200. He said to ask for Elaine and to mention his name Dr. Bill Thompson. He used to work at that clinic so I think most of the Dr.'s there still know him. Good luck!
