Best potty training book for toddlers to read?

Time to start introducing the idea to my 2 year old boy! He loves to read and books have really helped him smoothly transition to having a baby sister and to starting school, so I think he'll really start "getting it" if there's a good book to read to him. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

My son LOVED LOVED LOVED Once upon a potty by Alona Frankel. There is a version for boys and girls. I changed the vocabulary a bit to match what we call things in our house, but he couldn't get enough of that book. We actually had quite a few potty books that I found when we stopped by Half Priced Books, but none were read as much as the Frankel book. It's Potty Time (has a button that made a flushing noise), Big Boys Use the Potty, Too Big for Diapers (Sesame Street)Dora's Potty Book, Potty Poo Poo Wee Wee (I didn't care for this one, but my son liked the dinosaurs)

We used the potty scotty system, complete with book, doll that pees, underwear, and potty. It is really what made our DS understand what we wanted him to do!

Once upon a potty for sure. It's a great book and both of my boys (they have a girl version as well) loved it and it really helped them.

We had a few that my daughter liked that also come in versions for boys...."The Potty Book for Boys" and "My Big Boy Potty". The best one to explain what was happening to her body and what happens with the toilet, etc., was "Going to the Potty" by Fred Rogers. The pictures are a bit outdated, but the message is great...typical Mister Rogers!
There are also some videos out there we borrowed from the library..."Potty Time" and "Potty Power". Good luck!

Mine liked the one with the button that makes a flushing noise when you press it. There's one for boys and another for girls. It's incredibly simple, but it was effective for us and the only one we ever bought. It was called "it's Potty Time".

My son liked the Sesame Street characters. We found a book with Elmo at Target that has sound buttons. He liked Too Big for Diapers with Bert & Ernie. We found some coloring books that helped to keep him occupied with sitting on the potty. I would only let him color the books when it was time for him to sit on the potty. He also liked the Potty Time Video with Elmo. That seemed to really help him understand the 'big kid' concept. He wanted to be a big kid like the characters. If your son has a favorite character, that might help. I did change some of the wording when I read the books. Some say the child should empty the little potty & teach them about wiping, but he's still too little for that part. Hope it goes well. We're 3 months into it.

Sadly I can't think of the name of the book (even thought i could likely recite the book now!), but it's a Karen Katz book. She has great books and they are unisex looking kids. She also liked the Elmo goes potty video.

The Elmo's Potty DVD seems to really be working wonders for my two girl's. It's not a book but he may like it just the same,

. OXO TOT 2-IN-1 ON THE GO POTTY (MJSLOT777: Dapatkan Bonus New Member 100% di Awal untuk Pengalaman Bermain Slot Terbaik )

This 2-in-1 Go Potty opens quickly and easily so it can be ready in snap, whether you need a standalone potty to use with disposable bags, or a potty seat to use on a grown-up toilet.

When using the 2-in-1 Go Potty as a stand-alone Potty, the legs lock securely in place at the ideal height for growing tots, and the soft, flexible flaps hold the disposable bags securely in place.

Three disposable bags with absorbent pads are included, and refills are available, but the Potty was designed to accommodate standard plastic bags in a pinch.

For use as a potty seat on grown-up toilets, the legs of the 2-in-1 Go Potty fold all the way out and non-slip grips keep the Potty stable on round or elongated toilets.

The small seat is sized perfectly for little bottoms and the generous shield prevents splatter.

The smooth surfaces of the Potty are easy to clean, and the legs fold in to fit the Potty in the included Travel Bag for compact storage in cars, strollers or diaper bags.

Hope this helps
