Can anyone recommend a good artichect with experience in home renovations? We are looking for someone that can design stairs up to our attic and put a room up there. We have already had an engineer come out and tell us that it can be done. My husband is able to do the room himself and works in the construction field, so he is going to ask some of his contacts for referrals. My biggest concern is putting stairs from our main floor to the attic and making sure it looks like it should really be there. I know having a good design will be the most important part, so I really want to make sure we find someone really experienced in designs and would prefer someone that has done a design for something like this. If anyone has any experience in doing something similar in their house, I would appreciate any insight as well.

We just put a second floor on our ranch house and it was a pain. We had to come up with a new way to put up the roof and stairs b/c of supporting beams that could not be taken down and trusses (sp?) in the ceiling that needed to be worked around. We are very happy with the results and I can pass along our guy that did it if you need it.
