Dear Petra,
I have an adult daughter who has had type 1 diabetes since she was a young teenager. The reason I am writing is to make sure you and your son know about Bearskin Meadow Camp for children with diabetes and their families. They offer Family Camp, Kids Camp, and Teen Camp, and is run by the Diabetic Youth Foundation. The camp gave my daughter a lot of social connection in the diabetic community.
