I currently have Brinks/Broadview, but I'm looking to stop using my home line and convert to their IP monitoring solution since I already have a router and what not. The problem is that it's $175 to install and $5 a month added to my monthly rate. Not a huge deal, but if anyone has recently had a security system installed by someone else and got a good deal on the install and equipment, I would consider switching companies in order to get what I want for fewer dollars.

We have had both ADT and Brinks in the past, but are now with Smith Thompson. We have been very happy with their service and pricing. They are local so their customer service is great. I don't know about their installation pricing since ours was already done, but you could give them a call. www.smiththompson.com
