Advice needed about providing meals for aging parents in Florida

My parents are both ill but want to live as independently as possible for as long as possible in their 1 bedroom condo in Florida. They have full time help during the week to run errands, drive them to appointments, fix things around the apartment, grocery shop etc. However, they now need help with meals as they are unable to cook for themselves. They can heat things up in the microwave or oven, make a sandwich, but making a meal is out of the question. I am putting a local add out to hire someone to make at least one meal a day for them. These meals have to be heart healthy diabetic diet. They can be cooked in the person's house or my parent's condo. I am open to how they could be done - delivered once a week and frozen (easy to reheat), delivered a few times a week, whatever. My question is, how should I pay for this service? Obviously the groceries will be paid for, but do I pay per meal, per week? Aside from Meals on Wheels, has anyone heard of a service that does this?
Thank you in advance for your input.

I have seen the Schwan's truck in my apartment complex in MD, and I checked them out.

It appears they will deliver frozen meals that can be microwaved. They have a variety of meals available as well as fruit cups, smoothies, ice cream, soups, appetizers, and beverages. They also have just the meat and vegetables, for when someone comes who can prepare a full meal. They have a place for you to check to see if the service is available in a particular area. I hope this can be a help for your parents.

What about a company like Let's dish or there are prepared "diet" meaning diabetic choices like http://diettogo.com/ They will ship them once a week and then you just heat them up. If you google diet meals delivered and then the area they live in, it should work. I would think you could also find someone through placing an add or even do one on craigslist. Florida is also has wonderful "retirement homes" that are more like resorts. My mom and sis about a year ago helped our grandmother's boyfriend find a wonderful place to live, not cheap, but he compared it to a cruise ship without the boat! He loves it and it is better for him, since my grandmother had passed away. Good luck.
