I also see spots, ask him if they are more like silver lines all over. If so, he just needs more iron and even then they still just appear randomly. It's from not enough blood flow to the brain. Sometimes i get so lighted that I pass out.
My 4 year old son has been complaining about this over the past week. He is VERY smart so that part of the post actually made me feel better. He has his 4 year check up coming so I think I will have the doctor look anyway. The spots sort of freak him out when they happen. It seems to happen about once or twice a week now for the past 3 weeks. Thank you for the information. Has your son still been seeing them?

My 6yrs old has eye floaters, we went with the ophthalmologist, neurology, neurophtalmology, and pediatrician. Everything looks fine. We heard that could be dry eye because he takes zyrtec and singulair for allergy. Please let me know if your son still have the floaters? Or how that ends? Thank you

My children have the same thing and saw a pediatric opthamalogist who said it was early evidence of migraines.
My son , saw a pediatric ophthalmologist and he said that his eyes were perfectly fine and he has seen lots of children who talk about the same - seeing spots/

I have been up reading forums and trying to figure out why my daughter sees colorful spots in her vision. She says they are purple, yellow, red, green and blue. Somewhat like a rainbow. Recently she told me she started seeing them outdoors. I figured it’s because of the sunlight. I have made an appointment with ophthalmologist. She has seen an optometrist who dilated her eyes and saw nothing. Do you have an update on your soon? I am worried. I have read about floaters and the ones they describe don’t mention colorful spots. I am going to call the ophthalmologist tomorrow in case it’s something that needs immediate attention. Please update of possible.
Hello, I have been looking so looong for a forum like this! you describe exactly what my 6 year old son is going through these days - seeing floating colourful spots and grainy objects. It gets worse at night. We went for an opthalmologist examination - everything seems to be ok. I am so worried, he has just started going to school and is doing sooo well. It seems that this vision does not bother him but he is aware that it is unusual. Probably wasn’t always like this, he can’t say how long he has been experiencing this… Please can anybody pm me whether this stopped to occur or whether you found a cure. Thanks a lot, I am really scared, doctors are no help.
I’m very interested to know if you have found anything else out with your son. My daughter is 7 and has been experiencing this for years. However, didn’t complain about it again til recent. It doesn’t get in the way of school, nor play. She says she sees specks, circles, letters, animals, even in the dark and when she closes her eyes. During the day she sees specks constantly. I’m thinking its something with the brain as we have taken her to optometrist and he’s clueless. It’s heartbreaking because she says they will never go away. We remain prayerful. Please give me any current findings as we are starting to research and decide what to do.

Hi, How is evrything? Hope all is well. My 9 year daugther told me she also sees spots when she looks at the ceeling and like they are coming towards her she says only sometimes as well she just told me this, this weekend. She ia fine no health probelms but she has always been the type to see things that people dont see. I was about to make an appointment but i decided to look it up first and see if its normal but then I came across your page. What do u think i should do?
