Too Young to Be Teething?

My son is exhibiting symptoms of teething... He has been chewing on his fists and acting hungry, but isn't hungry or doesn't want to nurse. He is drooling excessively, like soaking his face and outfits. Today he was slightly fussy and acting uncomfortable. He stopped doing all this over the weekend, but it picked back up today. Could he be teething? He's only 3 months old. I've read that babies can possibly teethe at 3 months, but they usually don't start until about 6 or 7 months. When did your babies teethe? Since drooling, fussing and...

14 Year Old That Has a Lot of Headaches

I have a 14 year old son that has headaches quite often. He wears glasses, so that is not the problem. He comes home from school daily with a headache. I have taken him to the doctor and they have no answers for me. Does any one have this problem. He has had them on and off for 3 or 4 years now.

10 Year Old Still Drooling

My 10 year old still drools. It is not as bad as a toddler, but I have to repeatedly have to remind him to wipe his mouth off due this. During dinners, I have to tell him to use a napking because he lets food sometimes fall out of his mouth and he leaves it there. He often gets food all over his clothes, especially his shirts. He comes home from school with lunch still around his mouth. This cannot be normal. What should I do. I asked his PD about it, and she stated that he is fine and will outgrow it. I don't want him picked on,...

How Much for First Tooth Falling Out?

My five year old has a loose tooth and a couple of her friends in her Pre-K class have lost a tooth already and so she knows all about the Tooth Fairy. When I was a kid I used to get a quarter and now I'm hearing $1 or even $5 depending on which tooth it is. I understand that this is a big deal for kids, and certainly want to give her at least a buck, but I certainly don't want to hear later on that another friend got $5 and have to explain why she didn't get the same amount. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do here.

Bed Time for 10 Year Old

I am the mother of 3 healthy, active children. Recently, my husband and I have been in disagreement about what time my oldest (10 years old) should be allowed to stay up at night. I feel 8:45 for the 10 yr old is good since he must be up at 6:45am to get the bus at 7:30 am for school. I am the one who gets the kids ready for bed, reads to them, makes sure teeth are brushed, etc and my husband travels for work often so he is not home. When he is home he is usually watching TV, especially sports in the evening. But, my husband thinks the...
