Newborn Not Gaining Weight

I'm a new mom to a beautiful 4wk old BB. He was 6lbs 6oz at birth, and by 1wk, he was down to 5lbs 7oz. Now, 3wks later, he's only 5lbs 11oz. We are BF and he's getting enought milk, eating for an hour every 1-3 hours. He produces 6-8 wet diapers and 4-6 poopy diapers a day. He has met and surpassed his milestones, and he's getting taller. I gained 25lbs during the pregnancy, and by 3wks PP, I have lost almost 20lbs. I eat about 2500-3500 calories a day. I have two older children (9 & 8) who were also BF and small, but not this small. ...

Baby Sign Language Meet-Up Groups

Hello moms! I have 12 month old that signed her first sign to us at age 10 months and now is up to about 40- 50 signs. We are so very proud of our lil munchkin and would love to be able to join other moms with babies that are too learning sign language. I have done a little bit of searching around and have joined a sign language group online, but since I joined almost 3 months ago there has not been 1 meet up. Does anyone know of any mommy and baby sign language meet up groups here in the H-E-B area? Arlington would be fine too. In...

My daughter will be 3 next month. She is very smart in comparison to children her age. But the one problem I have is she does not know how to identify her letters. She knows her ABC's song so thats no problem. I bought her the Letter Factory leap frog dvd and that works well, she knows the sound of every letter. HOWEVER, she can't ID the letters themselves. I did not think it was a problem, but then my nephew that is close in age to her can ID all his letters AND numbers backwards and forwards. I know I should not compare my child and that...

Choosing a Preschool?

My husband and I have toured a few preschools and are torn between which school we would like to send our son to. He prefers one, while I prefer another. I am curious to know what things you mommies looked for when deciding on a preschool for your munchkin. Although I am interested in your general views about preschool selection I'd like to add that I am in Corona, so if there is any one out there from my side of town that has specifics on one of our local preschools I'd appreciate that input also. Thanks in advance for your help.
