Looking for Help with Older Infant Still in Need of Being Swaddled

My 6 month old still needs to be swaddled when he goes to bed. He was sleeping through the night at 2 months, but after being sick a few months ago, that all stopped. He was back on track for a little while, but now has frequent wake ups during the night. If I leave him in his crib, unswaddled at night or naps, he will just roll around and play with his feet, but not fall asleep. He gets very aggitated because he can't fall asleep. When I swaddle him, he falls right to sleep. When he breaks out of his swaddle in the middle of the night ...

Will a Graco Snugride Infant Seat Fit in Overhead Compartment?

My husband and I are taking a 5 hour cross country flight with our 4 month old son. We have not purchased a seat for him. The stroller we use is the Graco Snugride infant seat and frame. So if we try to check the stroller at the gate, the infant seat would have to be taken out in order for the frame to collapse. Has anyone tried to fit this infant seat in the overhead compartment? I'm packing the base in luggage, since we will need it for the rental car.

Anyone with the Graco Snug Ride Infant Seat?

I saw the consumer report on infant car seats. I know they ended up retracting the story but I still was impressed with the rating of Graco snug ride. I was wondering if anyone who has this seat can let me know how they like it. I also read that it is not the easiest seat to operate. Has anyone had problems with it?

Traveling with infant...what to Bring?

My husband and I will be traveling to Germany (Frankfurt, Rothenburg, Nuremburg) for a week in mid-March with our (will-be) 5 month old son. We'll also be traveling to British Columbia in April. Any advice on what to bring? For getting about locally, I currently have the Peg Perego car seat and the Maclaren Techno XLR Stroller. My husband's looked into the GoGo Kidz Travelmate and buying a compatible car seat. The Sit n'Stroll has also been recommended, but I've heard it may not make it down some airplane aisles. I also have a...

Flat Head and Tummy Time

My daughter just turned 4 months and at her last 2 dr appointments, they have really encouraged tummy time to help the back of her head round out. I know as a former nanny the importance of tummy time for infants, but my baby seems to be very against it. I just wonder how far I should push it each time. She gets so upset on her tummy. But I worry without pushing it that the back of her head (which is pretty flat) won't round out and that she'll be delayed in crawling and pushing up on her hands. Should I keep just doing for a few minutes at...
